Leadership is like a knife:
- You need to stay sharp.
- You have to make cuts in budgets, people, or roast beef.
- You spend a good part of the day just hanging around.

This is a good analogy. I’d also add leaders need to penetrate to the heart of issues, and not just deal with symptoms
